The Dark Knight Rises is the new caped crusader movie that is scheduled to be released in the summer of 2010. I will be keeping an eye on Anne Hathaway and Christian Bale for any information on their workout routines.
Anne Hathaway lands Catwoman role in Batman film
Actress Anne Hathaway will play Selina Kyle and her alter-ego Catwoman in Christopher Nolan's third Batman film
The 28-year-old, who will co-host the Oscars next month, follows in the footsteps of Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry in playing the role.
British actor Tom Hardy, who appeared in Nolan's film Inception, will play villain Bane in The Dark Knight Rises.
Christian Bale returns as Bruce Wayne and Batman in the film, due for release on 20 July 2012.
In a statement, Nolan said Hathaway would be "a fantastic addition to our ensemble as we complete our story".
Hardy, he went on, would "bring to life our new interpretation of one of Batman's most formidable enemies".
The Dark Knight Rises follows 2005's Batman Begins and 2008's The Dark Knight, for which the late Heath Ledger received a posthumous Oscar for best supporting actor.
Hathaway, Oscar-nominated in 2009 for Rachel Getting Married, will return to the Academy Awards on 27 February to co-host with James Franco.
Bale was pretty skinny in The Fighter with Mark Wahlberg, so I expect to see him put on some pounds, gain muscle and be pretty ripped in this role. Anne Hathaway has a lot to live up to after her Batman Movie predecessors Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry looked so astounding as Catwoman.

Glucosamine seems to be a popular pain relief supplement.
It is a great choice because it is all natural. Glucosamine is already found in the synovial fluid and the joint cartilage. Basically it is an amino sugar that helps to maintain the structure of the cartilage. Thus, not only can it help with pain relief for dogs with arthritis, but it can actually help to rebuild the decaying joints. In fact, there has been an increase in the use of Glucosamine Sulfate as well as Chondroitin Sulfate in healthy dog diets. But be aware that every dog will respond differently

We love our cats, and when they have problems, it can be very distressing. Just like people can have health issues, our pets health and quality of life can be endangered by such things like a cat eye disorder.
It is very important to take your pet into the veterinarian as soon as you think that there may be any kind of problem. Sure, they may hate to get into the cat carrier and travel to see the vet, but there could be something seriously wrong. A trip to see the veterinarian will, if nothing else, verify what cat eye disorder may be the issue.

I believe Natalie Portman lost something like 20 pounds to play the lead role in this dark movie. You can really see the musculature of her body especially in her arms and back in some of the close ups she gets.
This must have been incredibly difficult challenge for her, as she was already pretty tiny!
Now, I am not advocating this much of a loss in body weight for someone so small, especially not in a short amount of time. However I am pointing out that even if you are slender and fit, with some hard work you can really get into a shrink wrapped body and look damn good!
Go check out the movie!

Even the most knowledgeable of gym rats can get their fitness facts muddled from time to time, and since information in the wellness world changes with new studies, we want to test your exercise expertise by providing you with some statements that need verifying or debunking. Read the following five claims, guess whether they're true or false, then find out the answers after the jump!
1. Crunches Are The Best Way To Blast Belly Fat
2. Drinking Water Helps You Lose Weight
3. You Will Burn More Calories With Cardio Than Weight Lifting
4. Lifting Weights Will Make You Look Bulky
5. Stretching Before A Run Will Prevent Injury
What's true and what's false? Check out the answers after the jump.
1. FALSE. Without incorporating cardio into your workout, you'll never be able to see your sculpted abs. Burn off the fat first or simultaneously.
2. TRUE. A recent study found that drinking two 8-ounce glasses of water before meals may help with weight loss. Opting for water most likely means you're cutting out calorie-heavy sodas and juices from your diet, plus it helps with appetite suppression.
3. FALSE. Weight training speeds up your metabolism and builds muscle, which will help you burn fat during your cardio sessions. Some studies even suggest that your body will continue burning calories long after you've finished hitting the weights.
4. FALSE. This is a common misconception, especially among women. Without high levels of testosterone, bulking up is actually hard! You'd have to engage in some seriously outrageous weight lifting, combined with muscle enhancers. Lifting weights and building lean muscle will help you shed pounds.
5. FALSE. While loosening up the muscles before a workout is a good idea, static stretching (holding a pose for a significant period of time) can actually destabilize muscles and make them more prone for injury. The safest bet is to do a light warm-up before you get into your workout and then do a more extensive stretch afterward.
As I have said before, there is a lot of mis-information out there about the way to build muscle. The article above, from MTV of all places, really hits on some of the most common myths about workout routines and their effect.
We will dive in depth on each of these topics in the coming posts and learn the best way to build muscle and lose weight!

If you want to be lean, sexy, and hard, you should train with weights.
A desirable female physique is one that can only be achieved by moving some serious iron in the weight room! But what about all the talk about weight training making women big and bulky? First, it is physiologically impossible for you as a woman to put on large amounts of muscle mass; you're body's hormonal makeup is not one that will allow you to do so. God never intended for women to look like men (go figure), so he made the chemistry of each gender's respective bodies different. Regardless of how you train, how often you train, how much protein you eat, etc, you're not going to even come close to the big, bulky physique of a female bodybuilder. It will not happen. That look is only obtainable by one means: steroids. Because their natural hormonal profiles would never allow them to get that "big," they resort to changing their body's chemistry through the use of illegal drugs. Secondly, if the right training method is chosen, the hypertrophic (growth) response to resistance training can be even further reduced.
In short, the article talks about Deadlifts, Pull-ups, Dips, Military Press, Sit-ups, Bench Press and Squats.
If you want to build muscle the right way to get a lean, sexy and hard body then there are a few things you must consider- and resistance weight training is critical. The article is focused on dispelling the myth that if women work out they get big. We will talk more about this and weight training in the future, but I thought this article was a good read- just click on the link above to take you to the Lean & Sexy article.

Best Way to Build MuscleDon't be a meat head! There are ways to bulk up like crazy and look like the Incredible Hulk, but the best way to build muscle will make you look like a fitness model or a Hollywood star!
Dont you want to get ripped abs like Brad Pitt, Hugh Jackman or a Calvin Klein model? Most women prefer their men to have this look over the excessive bulk traditionally seen in bulky bodybuilders. And we all know that women don't want to look big, they want a toned body.
