New Apple MacBook Air costs less, plus App Store is coming -

CUPERTINO, Calif. — Apple (AAPL), basking in the success of the iPhone and iPad, is bringing the look of those mobile devices to its computers.

Apple CEO Steve Jobs introduced a MacBook Air notebook, which — like its popular iPad — has no hard drive. It relies instead on flash memory, which is pricey but more durable if dropped or bumped. It also has a much longer battery life
